2018 was a busy year! With the creation of our "Miles of Smiles", we saw more schools and students take interest in daily running programs. See below our year of accomplishments!
In 2018, we launched the “Miles of Smiles” running program.
The goal of the program is to have students average at least one mile per day to help put a smile on the face and improve focus in the classroom. We believe “Miles of Smiles” will help each student reach their goals of good mental, physical and emotional health.
Congratulations to Casey Hagy and the Students at Christa McAuliffe. 471 students participate and averaged 63 miles per year! Way to go Christa McAuliffe Elementary 2018 – 2019.
Our annual fundraiser, the O’side Turkey Trot generated $23,000 for local schools and non-profits. See how much each of our charities raised here.
We also received a $4,300 grant from the Oceanside Charitable Foundation to continue funding our Miles of Smiles program in 2019!
